Summary:

Cook Children's, based in Fort Worth, Texas, is recruiting a full-time pediatric nephrologist to join its rapidly growing pediatric nephrology department. The department offers active programs in kidney transplant, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, Aquadex, ECMO, and plasma exchange. We operate an 8-chair outpatient hemodialysis center supported by a dedicated team including urologists, transplant surgeons, interventional radiologists, nurses, social workers, dieticians, child life specialists, and a pet therapy program. Our service area spans most of North and West Texas, parts of Oklahoma and New Mexico, through our main campus, a medical center in Prosper, nine satellite clinics, and a telemedicine program. The role involves 1-2 outreach clinics per month, with a focus on transplant patients. We welcome new graduates and offer opportunities for clinical research and teaching, both locally and in collaboration with Fort Worth's medical schools. Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.
  • American Heart Association BLS and PALS certifications.
  • Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must be obtained prior to start date).
  • Completion of an ACGME or AMA-accredited residency in pediatrics.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Nephrology.
