Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC, seeks an experienced Emergency Transport professional to provide rapid, ALS inter-facility transport for neonates to adolescents. You will assess patients, deliver advanced life support, and communicate with physicians and receiving teams throughout transport.

Your role includes documenting care, maintaining equipment, and upholding safety standards in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ALS experience in pre-hospital or inter-facility transport preferred.
• Must hold NRP, PALS, BLS and ACLS certifications at hire, with state DC/MD credentials within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, rapid inter-facility transport using ALS protocols.
• Assess patient condition and prioritize care during transport.
• Maintain proficiency with transport equipment and IT systems.
• Communicate clearly with receiving teams and medical control.
• Document care and ensure family-centered communication.
