Job summary

Children’s National Hospital is seeking a transport professional to provide safe inter-facility moves for pediatric and neonatal patients, delivering advanced life support and coordinating care with physicians and the transport center.

The role requires ALS experience, NRP/PALS/BLS/ACLS certifications and the ability to work within protocol-driven teams in a fast-paced environment in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year ALS experience in pre-hospital (911) or inter-facility transport required.
• 2+ years ALS experience preferred.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient inter-facility transport and advanced life support to stabilize and move patients.
• Staff the Emergency Communications and Information Center as needed.
• Respond quickly to transport requests and maintain continuous reassessment and documentation during transport.
• Communicate clearly with referring physicians, ECIC and receiving providers; provide organized handoffs.
