Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Transport Paramedic to join the emergency transport team. You will provide rapid inter-facility ALS transport for neonates, infants, and children, using on-line medical direction or standing protocols.

Must have NRP, PALS, BLS, ACLS, and pediatric/neonatal transport certifications; DC/MD state licenses; 1–2 years ALS experience in pre-hospital settings. The role emphasizes safety, team communication, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year ALS experience in pre-hospital or inter-facility transport required.
• 2 years ALS experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential.
• Ability to use information technology effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient inter-facility transport for neonates and children.
• Stabilize and monitor patients using ALS protocols.
• Communicate with referring physicians and ECIC during transport.
• Document care and maintain transport equipment.
• Maintain safety and readiness of ambulance and supplies.
• Support team and participate in performance improvement.
