Job summary

Children's National Hospital transports neonates, infants, children and adolescents using rapid air and ground resources. The role delivers advanced life support during inter-facility transport, staffs the Emergency Communications Center, and ensures safe, efficient care with protocol-driven and physician-guided decision making.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED and ALS experience; multiple licenses and pediatric/neonatal transport certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient inter-facility transport.
• Provide advanced life support care to stabilize and transport patients.
• Staffing in the Emergency Communications and Information Center.
• Document patient care per guidelines and maintain safety during transport.
• Promote family-centered care in the transport environment.
