Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, seeks a Transport Paramedic to join our rapid inter-facility ALS transport team. You will provide safe, developmentally appropriate care for neonates, infants, children and adolescents during transfers, with on-line medical direction or standing protocols as needed.

The role requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year ALS transport experience (2 years preferred), and multiple certifications (NRP, PALS, BLS, ACLS) by hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year ALS transport experience required; 2 years preferred.
• NRP, PALS, BLS, ACLS, and pediatric/neonatal critical care transport certifications required by hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid inter-facility ALS transport with safe patient care.
• Maintain proficiency with transport equipment and documentation.
• Communicate with referring physicians and receiving teams during transport.
• Adhere to protocols and physician directions for patient care.
