Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist – Pediatric & Neonatal for Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. You will deliver specialized respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients across critical settings, collaborating with physicians and the care team.

The position is full-time with nights, 36 hours weekly, schedule 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. A sign-on bonus up to $5,000 is offered, with opportunities for growth and education within a large regional health system.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current CRT credential required.
• Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license.
• NRP certification required for neonatal/pediatric roles.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical Respiratory Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory and cardiopulmonary assessments and develop care plans.
• Collect diagnostic information including pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, blood gases, and invasive/noninvasive procedures.
• Provide/modify respiratory therapies: gases, humidity, aerosols, airway clearance, ventilation.
• Deliver specialized care to pediatric and neonatal patients, including airway management.
• Monitor patient status and equipment; adjust therapy based on response and results.
• Provide support during emergencies and transport as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on care plans and education.
• Maintain equipment and safety standards; mentor students and staff.
