Job summary

South Shore Health in Weymouth, MA seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist for NICU/SCN care. The position requires neonatal and pediatric respiratory therapies, arterial blood gas procedures, and participation in the neonatal transport team.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, manage ventilators and oxygen therapy, and maintain strict patient safety and documentation standards across 2-night/1-day schedules as part of a day/night rotation.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Care.
• RRT and RCL licensure required.
• BLS, NRP, PALS/ENPC certifications required (or instructor certifications).
• 2 years NICU/Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely per physician orders.
• Manage respiratory therapies including IS, HHN, Ventilator therapy for neonates; monitor devices and oxygen delivery.
• Set up and maintain gas cylinders, regulators, and flowmeters.
• Perform arterial punctures and collect samples per physician orders.
• Be part of the neonatal transport team and support code/CPR as needed.
• Document all patient care in medical records and adhere to safety policies.
