Job summary

ChildServe is seeking a Medical Childcare Assistant to support health, growth, and skill development in children and young adults. You will assist with treatment services, collaborate with nurses and therapists, and help implement individualized care plans in a pediatric setting.

The role involves providing care per plan, maintaining documentation, and contributing to a safe, engaging environment that promotes independence and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with special healthcare needs.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and move around classrooms and playgrounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young adults in developing and maintaining skills that promote independence.
• Provide care and treatment per individualized care plans, including nursing, therapy, and behavior support within scope.
• Create a safe, therapeutic environment that encourages growth and well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with nurses, therapists, families, schools, and team members for continuity of care.
• Follow established procedures and perform additional duties to support program goals.
