Job summary

Grow Pediatrics seeks a Medical Assistant to support pediatric primary care. The role blends clinical and administrative duties in an outpatient setting, preparing children for exams, assisting providers, and managing immunizations.

You’ll educate families, document in the EHR, and help with front desk tasks in a fast-paced environment. Daytime hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with full-time health, dental, vision, retirement, and PTO benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of pediatric care principles and immunization schedules.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and families.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations with vital signs, height/weight, and medical history.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer immunizations and medications as directed within scope.
• Provide education to patients and caregivers on medications, treatments, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
• Manage patient flow, including rooming, discharge instructions, and follow-up scheduling.
• Clean and stock exam rooms; ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Handle calls, messages, and prescription refill requests.
