Job summary

ChildServe in Des Moines is seeking a Medical Childcare Assistant to support the health, growth, and skill development of children and young adults. This role involves providing care according to individualized plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote child development.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special healthcare needs and be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Flexible hours are required, particularly between 3–6 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience in child healthcare is preferred.
• Must pass background checks and comply with safety standards.
• Ability to effectively communicate in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Support children in developing skills for greater independence.
• Provide care according to individualized plans, including nursing and therapy.
