PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a pediatric urgent care setting. You will greet patients, collect medical histories and vitals, and prepare patients for X-rays while assisting with procedures under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior medical assistant experience and/or education.
• Knowledge of EKG placement in children.
• Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Strong communications and organizational skills.
• Prior pediatric experience.
• Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to learn medical software.
• Experience with medical records preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (e.g., throat and urine cultures).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in lab quality control testing.
• Support patient care within scope of practice.
• Maintain exam rooms and front reception supplies.
• Keep waiting room clean and organized.
• Follow safety practices and notify team of emergencies.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow policies.
• Contribute to service recovery when needed.
• Assist with splints and other procedures as directed.
