PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a pediatric urgent care setting. The role involves greeting patients, collecting histories and vitals, preparing patients for X-rays, and assisting with routine lab work under physician supervision.

You will help maintain exam rooms, manage front desk tasks, and support the patient care team with urgent needs. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, prior pediatric experience, and comfort

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience as Medical Assistant or related education.
• Knowledge of EKG placement and processing in children.
• Ability to obtain lab tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Professional and friendly demeanor.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Prior pediatric experience.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with computers and MS Office.
• Willing to learn medical software.
• Experience with medical records preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, patient vitals, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (throat/urine cultures; venipuncture if needed).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in lab quality control testing.
• Support patient care within scope of practice under physician supervision.
• Maintain stocked exam rooms and front reception.
• Maintain waiting room cleanliness and order.
• Follow safety practices and precautions.
• Assist in emergencies and notify medical team as needed.
• Help maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity.
• Assist with complaints and service recovery as needed.
• Assist with splints and other procedures as required.
