Dayton Children's is seeking a PCA/MA Trainee in the Community Based Pediatrics - South department for a part-time schedule (24 hours). The trainee will participate in a structured MA training program to develop the knowledge, technical skills, and professional behaviors needed to provide safe, high‑quality patient care under supervision.

Under qualified staff, the trainee supports patient intake, vital signs, rooming, basic clinical and administrative tasks, and collaborates with the care team.

Qualifikationen

• HSD/GED required.
• PCA/MA training or enrollment in health care program required.
• 1–2 years STNA experience in hospital setting preferred.
• CPR preferred at hire, but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with patients and families.

Aufgaben

• Assist with patient intake and rooming.
• Obtain and document vital signs.
• Prepare examination rooms, maintain supplies and equipment.
• Assist with basic clinical and administrative tasks.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and care team.
• Support clinic flow and adapt to changing census and needs.
