Dayton Children's Hospital in Dayton, OH is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to assist the nurse in completing patient care activities, considering developmental levels, with strong communication and ability to take delegated tasks.
You will monitor vital signs, intake and output, assist with activities of daily living, provide safe transport and a clean environment, and participate in cross-training to support clinical and clerical functions.

Complies with the safety management program designed to provide a physical environment free of hazards and to reduce the risk of injury. Is knowledgeable about and responsive to the mission of the hospital. The PCA promotes a patient and family experience oriented environment and acts as a change agent to meet the rapidly changing census and needs of all customers-both internal and external. The PCA measures and records vital signs, intake and output, assists patients with activities of daily living, and provides safe transportation and environment for patients. The PCA is cross trained to support the clinical and clerical sides of the business.

Job Description
HSD/GED is required
PCA training or PCA experience or actively enrolled in a health care related education program is required
1-2 years STNA experience in hospital setting is preferred
CPR is preferred at hire, but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date
