Job summary

Pediatric Associates Family of Companies is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support pediatric care teams in a patient-centered medical home. The role emphasizes accurate vitals, documentation, and vaccines while coordinating with clinicians for exams and essential procedures.

You will maintain a safe, clean environment, assist with immunizations and specimen collection, and help manage records and referrals. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA Diploma / Certification required OR minimum 3 years MA experience.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Current, valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high quality patient experience; welcome patients; ensure a safe patient environment and infection control compliant supplies and equipment.
• Perform and document patient intake vitals (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and notify clinician of abnormalities.
• Document patient history and update medical records with chief complaint, medications, allergies, vaccines, and relevant histories.
• Prepare patients for examination; assist clinicians with age-appropriate screenings and procedures as directed.
• Perform vaccine and medication reconciliation; provide vaccine information statements and education before administration.
• Adhere to vaccine cold chain management and proper storage, handling, and reporting of excursions.
