Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a program in Medical Assisting and no directly related experience OR completion of a formal medical services training program of the US armed forces OR 1 year of work experience in a related job discipline.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care- Provide competent technical and clinical services and flex daily needs based on policy; assist with procedures and exams; prepare patients for examination and treatment; ensure family-centered and collaborative care.
• Customer Service- Act as a customer advocate; respond to parent requests; provide education and information to patients and families.
• Collaboration- Work with others; follow directions; build positive working relationships and share knowledge.
• Data Management- Manage records; collect data; obtain consent; maintain patient files and accurate data entry.
• Laboratory Work and Testing- May manage specimens; maintain knowledge of routine testing and communicate results.
