Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Medical Assistant at the Burnet Campus in the Amb Svcs Neurology department. The role supports patient care, assists with procedures, prepares patients for examination, and helps deliver family-centered, responsive care in a busy neurology setting.

You'll provide customer service, maintain records, assist with data collection, and support lab testing as needed. Day shifts, full-time, with 0.8 FTE and 32 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting program or completion of a formal medical services training program of the US armed forces, or 1 year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent technical and clinical services and flex daily needs based on policy and guidelines; assist care providers with procedures and exams; prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Provide customer service and act as a patient/family advocate; respond to requests and educate patients and families as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and document data accurately; maintain patient files and records.
• Manage data per department policy and assist with data collection; obtain consent and release forms as indicated.
• May perform laboratory-related tasks and communicate normal lab results as delegated.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of Medical Assisting program

Completion of US armed forces medical services training

1 year of related work experience
