Job summary

The Pediatric Associates Family of Companies is seeking a Medical Assistant to support pediatric patient care under clinician supervision. You will perform intake vitals, document medical histories, and assist with examinations and vaccines in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities include vaccine reconciliation, EMR documentation, patient education, and coordinating follow-up care. Requirements include MA diploma or related experience, BLS, and a valid driver’s license. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• MA Diploma/Certification required OR 3 years MA experience equivalent.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Current, valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality patient experience; welcome patients; ensure safe patient environment and proper supplies.
• Document patient intake vitals including height, weight, temperature, BP, pulse, and respirations; notify clinician of abnormal findings.
• Interview patients and document medical history, allergies, medications, and immunizations; obtain records as needed.
• Prepare patient for examination; assist with age-appropriate screenings and procedures under clinician supervision.
• Perform vaccine and medication reconciliation; provide vaccine information statements and education.
• Adhere to vaccine cold chain management and report excursions as required.
• Perform patient identification, vaccine administration (IM/ID/SC) with post-observation.
• Finish follow-up tasks: calls, referrals, forms, and appointments.
• Perform phlebotomy and proper specimen handling; report results to clinician.
• Support care teams to meet quality and performance metrics.
