Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Medical Assistant in Pediatrics for a part-time, 0.75 FTE schedule. The role supports physicians and nurses, helps manage patient flow, and performs clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced pediatric clinic.

Hours are about 30 weekly, with a schedule likely Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and occasional Saturday rotations in St. Charles, with hybrid work across South Elgin and St. Charles. BLS/CPR certification and MA credentialing are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current certification in MA or eligibility to sit for CMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA/NAHP exams.
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
• 0–2 years' experience in a relevant role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and accurate vital signs per standards.
• Assist practitioners with procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations).
• Prepare and stock exam rooms and maintain inventory and cleanliness.
• Provide professional patient interactions and protect confidentiality.
