Job summary

Pediatric Associates Family of Companies seeks a Floater Laboratory Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks across offices. The role includes phlebotomy, lab testing, specimen prep, and patient intake procedures under clinician supervision.

Responsibilities cover quality control, charting, vaccine and medication reconciliation, and coordinating follow-up care as needed. Travel between offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare environment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory testing procedures in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Serology and Spirometry.
• Reports laboratory results to a healthcare clinician and notifies of critical values.
• Performs phlebotomy including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
• Prepares specimens for reference lab including labeling and billing information.
• Conducts daily/weekly/monthly quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Collects patient vitals and notifies clinician of abnormal findings.
• Interviews patient and documents thorough medical history and medications.
• Obtains medical records and supports clinician review and follow-up.
