Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Orlando seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant II to join our Central Florida Otolaryngology ENT team. You will coordinate patient visits, assist with exams, and prepare patients for procedures in a pediatric specialty setting.

This role emphasizes teamwork, family-centered care, and supporting providers with patient flow and documentation; travel may be required to other Nemours locations. Growth within our pediatric care network is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Requires 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Acceptable CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA certifications.
• Travel to Nemours locations is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for visits by collecting vital signs and histories.
• Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines under provider direction.
• Collect specimens and perform basic lab testing.
• Document patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
• Educate patients and families using provider-approved materials.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and infection prevention standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver safe care.
