Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health in Central Florida’s Otolaryngology ENT team in Orlando is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant II. You will coordinate patient visits, assist with clinical procedures, and ensure efficient patient flow under provider direction.

You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver high-quality pediatric care, with opportunities for growth and ongoing professional development in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA or NRCMA certification accepted.
• Ability to travel to other Nemours locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for visits; collect vitals and histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines per protocol.
• Collect specimens and perform basic lab tasks.
• Document patient information in the EMR accurately.
• Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient care.
• Educate patients and families with provider-approved materials.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and medical equipment.
• Collaborate with care team to deliver safe, compassionate care.
• Perform additional clinical/administrative duties as needed.
