Job summary

UCSF Health Medical Foundation seeks a Medical Assistant/Patient Services Representative (MA/PSR) for our San Francisco clinic. You will serve as the first point of contact, assisting pediatricians and handling front desk duties while delivering excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include checking in patients, scheduling, insurance questions, copays, and medical record updates in the EHR; you’ll support physicians and maintain a friendly, professional environment consistent with our care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CCMA or higher certification preferred.
• Graduate of approved MA program with injectable training.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check in/out; collect co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Answer phones and route calls; provide patient information.
• Assist clinicians and support patient care under pediatric oversight.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy in the EHR.
• Prepare and process paperwork and assist with billing corrections.
