Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
• BLS certification.
• 1+ year of experience in a Medical Assistant or patient-facing healthcare role.
• Experience navigating electronic medical records and scheduling systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients with warmth and professionalism.
• Obtain vitals and conduct assessments within defined scope of practice.
• Perform point-of-care testing (strep, flu, RSV, COVID, hemoglobin, etc.).
• Administer vaccines safely and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient care and procedures.
• Prepare, stock, and maintain exam rooms with infection control standards.
• Support medications refills, prior authorizations, referrals, and recalls.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR.
• Welcome patients and support check-in and registration.
• Schedule appointments, follow-ups, consultations, and referrals.
• Answer and manage calls with empathy and professionalism.
• Support patient checkout and follow-up care coordination.
• Assist with outreach for quality measures and recalls.
• Maintain clear communication with providers and clinic team.
