Job summary

Arkansas Children’s provides pediatric care in a hospital environment. The CMA will support a Urology Clinic, performing clinical and administrative tasks under licensed supervision to ensure safe, high-quality pediatric care.

Responsibilities include patient intake, vitals, medication administration, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and thorough EHR documentation. Emphasis on safety, education, and team collaboration within a Magnet-designated system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited medical assistant program required.
• Recommended Certifications: CMA/NCMA/Registered Medical Assistant (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive pediatric clinical support, including patient intake and vital signs.
• Administers medications and immunizations under provider order.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection as delegated.
• Conducts point-of-care testing and clinic-based diagnostics.
• Notifies provider of changes in patient condition.
• Maintains accurate Epic documentation of procedures and education.
• Contributes to quality improvement and population health initiatives.
• Educates patients and families to support understanding and engagement.
• Supports clinic flow, infection prevention, and operational efficiency.
• Performs additional duties to support safe, high-quality care.

Education
