Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital is seeking a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant to provide advanced clinical and administrative support in pediatric ambulatory clinics. You will work under licensed providers, perform vital signs, immunizations, phlebotomy, and accurate EHR documentation to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Required education includes a high school diploma or GED and an accredited MA program; CMA/NCMA/RMA certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of accredited medical assistant program
• Related Field - 1 year healthcare or related setting as MA
• Required Certifications: CMA, NCMA, or Registered Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provides pediatric clinical support including patient intake, vital signs, growth assessment and EHR documentation.
• Administers medications and immunizations under provider order and within scope of practice.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection as delegated and per safety standards.
• Conducts point-of-care testing and clinic diagnostics as delegated and documents results.
• Notifies licensed provider of changes in patient condition to support safety protocols.
• Maintains accurate documentation in Epic, including orders and educational notes.
• Supports clinic flow and infection prevention standards.
