Under the direction of a licensed health care professional, you will assist with prescription refills, records, and patient communications while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and OSHA. Qualifications

• Graduation from a MA program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or other school approved by the Department of Education.
• MA certification from AAMA or AMT in lieu of graduation from an accredited course.

Responsibilities

• Assists with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
• Screens telephone calls and documents accurate clinical messages.
• Maintains patient documentation and paperwork under provider direction.
• Cleans and restocks exam rooms and handles basic clerical duties.
• Performs clinical tasks within the Medical Assisting scope including vital signs, ECGs, and specimen collection.
• Prepares and administers medications with provider authorization and adheres to storage, labeling, and disposal policies.
