Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health's McLane Children's Hospital in Temple, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit. This role covers nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3x12s) in a 48-bed unit serving ages 0–21 with possibilities to care for oncology patients and chemotherapy administration as needed.

The position requires 1–2 years of pediatric nursing experience, RN licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Grad of an accredited nursing program.
• Nursing (RN) licensure required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed nursing assessments and plan care to meet patient needs.
• Develop, implement and evaluate care plans for pediatric patients 0–21 years.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate with multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain clinical documentation and ensure safety, quality and compliance.
• Support a collaborative, team‑oriented environment focused on pediatric care.
