Job summary

Medix seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) for a pediatric outpatient clinic. The role supports direct patient care from newborns to young adults across four local clinics in the Tacoma area, with a scheduled month in advance and occasional toll reimbursements for Gig Harbor travel.

Active MA-C license in WA required; experience with EPIC preferred. The position offers 40-hour weeks on a four-day compressed schedule, with potential for contract-to-hire and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active MA-C license in WA.
• Passion for pediatric care and patient comfort.
• Willing to float between Tacoma, Federal Way and Gig Harbor clinics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced pediatric outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct clinical care: rooming, vitals, and documenting in EPIC for 18–26 pediatric patients per shift.
• Immunizations and injections for newborns to young adults.
• Assist providers with procedures: circumcisions, sutures, breathing treatments.
• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms; maintain a child-friendly environment.
• Support a warm, engaging patient and family experience.
