Zarminali Pediatrics is seeking a Lab Technician to support high-quality pediatric care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will collect specimens, perform age-appropriate phlebotomy, and ensure accurate labeling, processing, and testing per CLIA-waived protocols.

Work closely with clinicians to document results in the EMR, monitor orders, and maintain safety and quality standards. The role requires attention to detail and excellent communication with families and the care team.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited phlebotomy or medical lab training program preferred.
• 1+ years of laboratory/phlebotomy/clinical experience preferred, ideally in pediatric or urgent care settings.
• Phlebotomy and specimen collection experience required; pediatric phlebotomy preferred.
• Experience with point-of-care or CLIA-waived testing preferred.
• Current phlebotomy or laboratory certification preferred or required by state regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Collect blood, urine, swabs, and other specimens from pediatric patients per protocol.
• Perform pediatric phlebotomy using age-appropriate techniques for patient comfort and safety.
• Label, process, store, and prepare specimens for in-house testing or transport to external labs.
• Perform approved point-of-care and waived tests per clinic policies and CLIA requirements.
• Document laboratory specimens and results in the EMR and monitor pending orders.
