Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking a Lab Associate to join the Outpatient Lab team. The role emphasizes phlebotomy with pediatric patients, specimen handling, and clerical support in a collaborative setting.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of pediatric phlebotomy experience, and demonstrates patience, compassion and the ability to work well with children with disabilities. Day shift, full-time, with every 4th weekend and 9:00 AM–5:30 PM hours.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Pediatric phlebotomy experience highly preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused and able to work with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection with proper patient identification.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure timely test processing.
• Handle registration and basic clerical duties as needed.
• Maintain specimen integrity and accurate labeling./
• Support inventory management and in-office phlebotomy tasks.
