Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of laboratory assistant experience; pediatric phlebotomy skills required.
• CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment maintenance and temperature checks as needed.
• Accession samples and perform low/medium complexity tests as needed.
• Prepare buffers and reagents.
• Prepare samples for send-out to reference laboratory.
• Assist technologists in operating laboratory equipment for chemistry, bacteriology, urinalysis and hematology tests.
• Maintain laboratory logs per policy.
