Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Interventional Radiology professional to perform IR imaging procedures and uphold quality standards. The role emphasizes safety, data accuracy, and collaboration with nurses and physicians to improve patient care.

Schedule typically consists of four 10-hour shifts; candidate must maintain ARRT‑VI and BLS certifications and have at least one year IR or radiology experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-VI certification within two years of hire; maintained during employment.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
• Minimum of one year radiology, cardiac cath, or IR experience; Illinois IEMA licensure maintained.
• Excellent communication, bilingual helpful.
• Ability to make quick decisions and handle stressful situations.
• Proficient PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Maintain educational records and department competencies.

Responsibilities

• Performs IR imaging procedures per department standards in a timely and efficient manner.
• Meets age specific competency standards and submits images for interpretation.
• Verifies patient demographics and clinical data; ensures accurate data entry.
• Performs quality control and maintains image quality standards.
• Supports organizational changes and patient care teamwork.
• Adheres to radiation safety procedures and JC safety goals.
• Interacts with nurses and physicians to optimize patient flow and care.
