Inpatient Pediatric Pharmacy Technician I/II at Duke Health in Durham is a full-time role (32 hours/week) with rotating shifts and every-other-weekend requirements. You will support pediatric medication preparation, distribution, and inventory under pharmacist supervision.

The position requires NC Pharmacy Board registration within 180 days, completion of a pharmacy tech program or admission to pharmacy school, and experience with Omnicell is a plus. Excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited pharmacy tech program OR acceptance into pharmacy school OR high school diploma with one year health care experience.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and draw up oral medications into patient-specific oral syringes.
• Compound immediate-use sterile IV preparations under pharmacist supervision.
• Deliver medications throughout the hospital and stock Omnicell cabinets.
• Answer pharmacy phones, triage calls, and direct questions to pharmacists.
• Process medication requests and assist with distribution activities.
• Maintain medication inventory and rotate stock to minimize waste.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and distribution of medications.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff and patients.

Formation
