Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, North Carolina is seeking an Inpatient Pediatric Pharmacy Technician I/II to support safe medication delivery under pharmacist supervision. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with a pharmacy tech program.
Or acceptance into pharmacy school.
Or high school diploma/equiv with 1 year health care experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and draw up oral medications for patients.
Compound immediate-use sterile IV preparations under supervision.
Deliver medications hospital-wide and stock Omnicell cabinets.
Answer pharmacy calls and triage questions to pharmacists.
Process medication requests and assist with distribution.
Maintain inventory and rotate stock to minimize waste.
Support packaging, labeling and distribution of meds.
Assist with controlled substance documentation.
