Job summary
Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Staff Nurse to deliver comprehensive pediatric nursing care in a fast-paced setting. You will assess, plan, implement, educate, and evaluate age-appropriate care with a family-centered approach and cost-conscious practices.

Qualifications
- RN license in good standing (Texas Board of Nursing)
- Basic Life Support (AHA) certification required
- 9 months professional nursing experience required
Responsibilities
- Assists in collecting patient/family data per site protocol
- Documents vital signs, height/weight and visit reason
- Prepares patient for examination per site protocol
- Assists provider during treatments and testing within scope
- Administers medications and immunizations as directed
- Documents medication administration in the medical record
- Provides patient/family education as instructed
- Coordinates referrals and triages patient complaints per site protocol
- Verifies orders and processes specimens per site protocol
- Demonstrates service philosophies to patients and families
