Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Texas.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support maintained.
• Advanced Specialty Courses should be completed within required time frames.
• National Certification in specialty aimed within 4 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects pertinent data through initial and ongoing assessments and reports findings.
• Perform comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient assessments.
• Diagnose and analyze patient problems with the care team.
• Plan individualized care with patient/family, considering culture and values.
• Deliver medications and therapies per orders and guidelines.
• Coordinate referrals and ensure safe transitions of care.
• Educate patients and families using appropriate health teaching methods.
• Evaluate responses to interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
