Job summary

A dedicated children's health system in Hartford is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to provide direct patient care in an inpatient setting. Successful candidates will assist with patient hygiene, vital signs, and documentation while ensuring a safe and compassionate environment. A high school diploma is required, along with BLS/CPR certification within 2 weeks of hire. This position includes rotating shifts, requiring flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Successful completion or enrollment in a Certified Nurse’s Aide training program is preferred.
• Minimum of one year pediatric PCA experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 2 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care addressing specific needs of the patients.
• Documents patient information accurately in records.
• Maintains unit supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of patients' specific needs from neonate to adolescence.
