Job summary

Dayton Children’s Hospital is seeking an Infection Control Nurse to lead the hospital-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program. You will provide direction to staff and collaborate with the Medical Director for Infectious Disease to improve patient safety and outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, pediatric nursing experience, and certification in Infection Control within 3 years of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Graduation from an accredited program of Nursing is required.
• Minimum 3 years pediatric nursing experience is required; 5+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shares responsibility for the hospital-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Provides direction and leadership to assigned personnel in infection prevention.
• Maintains organization-wide Infection Prevention Program with Medical Director for Infectious Disease.
• Develops and implements infection prevention methods and surveillance using epidemiological principles.
