Job description

Position Overview

The Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Infectious Diseases Division seeks an MD or MD‑PhD faculty member at the Assistant/Associate Professor or Professor level to fill the role of Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C). The successful candidate will lead a nationally recognized program specializing in infection prevention and clinical care for children at CCHMC.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care and infection prevention activities, including leadership and scholarship in prevention of hospital‑acquired infections.
• Engage internal and external partners, including public health authorities.
• Represent IP&C and CCHMC in public forums.
• Mentor junior faculty and support career development.
• Contribute to a total clinical effort of 35‑40% (as directed by clinical needs).

Qualifications

• MD or MD‑PhD degree in a related scientific or research field.
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in pediatric infectious diseases.
• Three or more years of research experience and/or laboratory experience assisting in the preparation of data for presentation at scientific meetings.
• Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility required.
• Ability to fulfill Full‑time, Day shift duties in the United States.
