Job summary

Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist to lead the hospital-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program. You will provide direction and leadership to staff, ensuring accurate and efficient infection prevention practices across all departments and offsite locations.

The role requires a nursing background with at least 3 years in pediatrics, 5+ years in infection control preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Graduation from an accredited program of Nursing is required.
• Master of Nursing is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years pediatric nursing experience is required.
• 5+ years of infection control experience is preferred.
• Certification in Infection Control required within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hospital-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Assist in maintaining the organization-wide Infection Prevention Program with the Medical Director for Infectious Disease.
• Develop services, policies and procedures to promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Teach infection prevention and control measures and serve as a resource for communicable disease management and regulations.
