Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support nursing staff under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse and Patient Services Manager. You will perform direct and indirect patient care activities essential to comprehensive care, including vital signs and ECG data collection, while maintaining PFCC principles and exemplary customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CNA or equivalent certification, and CPR.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with patients, families, peers and supervisors.
• Ability to prioritize and adjust work plans based on patient needs.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform selected tasks to support nurse-driven patient care.
• Obtain and record vital signs as delegated by the RN.
• Assist in care and treatments, including ECG data collection.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families and staff.
