Job summary

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED; and CNA or other educational equivalent.
• Two years of direct patient care experience or equivalent education as stated.
• Must complete Patient Care Associate Competency Based Training and Practicum with unit-specific competencies.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse, engages in selected tasks to obtain and report information for patient assessment and care.
• Obtains and records vital signs as delegated by the RN.
• Performs technical duties and activities contributing to safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff, including covering the BA desk as needed.
