Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support direct patient care under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse. You will assist with patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and participate in treatments to ensure safe and efficient care.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and CNA/Medical Assistant credentials or be a student nurse with clinical experience, plus CPR certification and strong communication skills for teamwork with patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA or Medical Assistant or student nurse with clinical experience preferred.
• Experience: 2 years direct patient care or equivalent education as specified.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of Clinical Nurse, perform duties to support patient assessment, planning and evaluation.
• Obtain and record vital signs as delegated by the RN.
• Assist in treatments and activities contributing to safe, efficient patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
