Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA certification is required or expected within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with personal care in home or clinical settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Maintains a clean and safe patient environment.
• Documents patient-related tasks and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Communicates patient needs effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Adapts interactions to patient age and privacy requirements.
• All other duties as assigned by nursing staff.
