Job summary

UNC Faculty Physicians in Chapel Hill is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Pediatrics team. The APP will provide high-quality, cost-effective care within the scope of practice under physician supervision, in alignment with UNC Health System policies and standards.

The role emphasizes education of patients and families, collaboration with clinicians, and参与 in system improvements while maintaining thorough documentation and involvement in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: obtain history, perform physicals, interpret tests, develop treatment plans and follow-up.
• Education/Leadership: educate patients/families and collaborate with clinicians; teach staff and students.
• Professional: communicate respectfully with patients and teammates; manage workload and participate in meetings.
• Quality/Research: engage in continuous quality improvement and contribute to program development.
• Documentation: maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper billing documentation.
