Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking an Administrative Tech to support unit-based reception, clerical tasks, and basic nursing care under RN supervision. The role emphasizes patient interaction, safety, and efficient department communication.

Responsibilities include basic patient care, room upkeep, specimen handling, and assistance with admissions and discharge. Requires a high school diploma and CPR – BLS; enrollment in a related field or healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current student in Medical Assistant, EMT-B, CNA, or PCT field, or one year of health care experience.
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care responsibilities, including vital signs, skin care, and personal care.
• Maintains patient rooms in a clean and neat manner, restocking areas as directed.
• Follows hourly rounding key behaviors and infection control procedures.
• Collects and labels specimens, transports blood and other samples per policy.
• Assists with patient admission, orientation, ambulation, discharge planning, and transport.
