Job summary

Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide technical support to pharmacists at the Skywalk Pharmacy. Rotating schedule with 8-hour shifts starting 8am–11am and ending 4:30pm–7:30pm; every 5th weekend and holiday rotation.

You will enter prescriptions, adjudicate claims, verify benefits, prepare and label medications, and assist in inventory management including narcotics handling.

Qualifications

• High school graduate, GED, or HSED required.
• Graduation from a pharmacy tech program is preferred.
• 1+ years experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter prescriptions in the operating system and review for accuracy.
• Assist in preparation, packaging, labeling, and dispensing under policy.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare staff regarding prescriptions.
• Manage inventory including narcotics; handle orders and stock checks.
• Assist at check-out and support quality improvement activities.
