Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is hiring a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide one-on-one therapy in home, school, and day care environments. Flexible scheduling includes full-time, part-time, and PRN options to support quality patient care.

You will work under a licensed PT, implement treatment plans, educate families, and document care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program is required.
• Texas PTA license or eligibility by start date.
• Experience preferred; new grads encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care.
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence.
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Education
